Just finished watching the episodes, we have an instant classic!!!

It maybe the greatest comedy on TV right now.

It has a feeling of "When Al Met Peggy" post-apocalypse Married with Children.

When he showed her his house, the baby pool, that was classic. That's his real parents' picture he put on the wall. The Heisman Trophy, broken off, that may be a reference to an old SNL skit with Doug Flutie. A lot of really funny stuff under the surface. Wonder if this thing makes it. Nobody is really talking about it, but the first 2 episodes were pretty unique and entertaining.

So how was this? I have it recorded but couldn't get to it last night.

Also:

Two episodes? I thought the first episode was last night...did I miss one?

It was 2 back-to-back.

it was an hour long premier, but was split into 2 episodes.

It was FAR better than I was expecting. From teh OP I really only watched it because I was bored out of my skull and had nothing better to do, but it's going to be a definite watch from now on.

Forte is great in it, he's got some really great lines but his mannerisms and expressions are spot on as well. I think that we have a roughly similar taste in shows so I would imagine you'll like it.

And dead bodies, and animals.

that was my bigger question than the vehicles. I realize that once a virus started to REALLY take hold, people would basically stop going out and stay in their homes, but surely there'd be SOME people just scattered out on the side of the road or something.

Then I remembered it's just a comedy on fox so it's not worth overanalyzing ha.

I hope it does, but I'm not optimistic about its success on network TV in primetime on Sunday night.

Hopefully if the first season doesn't take off, a Netflix or Amazon will pick it up and keep it going.

I thought it was great. The dialogue when ole girl started assembling her toilet pool setup, classic.

brooklyn nine nine seems to be doing ok for itself and it's practically at the same night and time.

me too, the more I think about it. I mean, there was nothing that really knocked my socks off in particular, it was just a really well done premier in that I want to keep watching. I'm curious to see what direction the show eventually will go in, as far as other people.

I watched it and liked it. I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to keep up week-to-week.... But I love shows that are totally original. This is a really ambitious, really different idea and I'm definitely interested.

Damn, it has got to be really hard to write for a show like this.

Kristen Schaal is one of my favorite comedians on the planet. I squealed with delight when she showed up. Literally.

The comic potential is through the roof with these two. They can carry a show with no other characters. I'm really rooting for this to be a success.

Agree with all.

I hope they can sustain it, but it seems like it would hard.

If I am trying to find a place to sustain myself, I'm going somewhere where they get some rain but isn't cold.

Obviously they're going to have to introduce SOMEthing to take it in a new direction. You can't have multiple seasons where they're the only 2. I'm pretty sure the writers already know that though

Maybe no.
"Why are people going to watch it."
"Because it's on TV."
"Not yet it's not."
