New Season of Project Greenlight on HBO

Anyone giving this a watch? the season focuses on one director that wins the contest and that person making a movie produced by HBO. the first episode was a little interesting but was just getting to the winner basically.
the rest of the season seems to be interesting, especially based on the person they picked.

Jesus christ he seems like a self-righteous, arrogant, and pretentious prick.
He will fit into hollywood perfectly.

This show has to be staged. In some parts at least.

Effie is ridiculous... She is runs all over the Producer.
Pete is a good mentor and she acts like she is the one running the show.

I think this season is incredible....
Effie Brown needs to shut the frick up.....She needs to check herself talking to a respected and accomplished writer/director, who is only trying to help her....She is so ignorant, she cannot even see that....

I was pretty excited for this show but it's honestly pretty ridiculous and boring. Jason is just really unlikable. I could care less if he succeeds

i haven't seen a group of people i hate this much on HBO since girls season 2
*ETA: i'm not caught up 100% but goddamn how much is this motherfricker obsessed with film? i just saw afleck tell him that he would back him on the film and jason's response showed that was literally all that he cared about (and he hasn't picked a cast or found a location yet)
everyone that effie hired also seems to feel like people are all out to get them and insult them, like the location lady being upset that the PD busted his arse to find to make sure they made a deadline

Anyone watch tonight? Just stopped on it and Effie might be the most unlikable person I've ever seen on TV. She threw a fit because she didn't want a black man playing a driver. Made them use a white man because it was subservient.
None of the people on this show are likeable. Not sure why anyone would watch this.

as a producer you're supposed to be on the director side, Effie is completely against Jason

OK I will say this...
Last week's episode Effie did good. Real good. She was doing what she had to do to make things run.
This week it seems that she's sabotaging the film with her personal agenda and with delaying info from getting to the director.
This episode shows, again, how ineffective of a communicator she is. Not just on a information passing standpoint, but on a one on one standpoint. See if she actually completes a sentence this entire episode when not talking about her race issues with the film.
She can't. She can't make a complete sentence. This is why Jason gets confused.
It did seem to me that the flip was still supposed to be done because of the money being found. Even after the phone call, which happened before the side-bar with Effie.

How can anybody stand to work with this woman? It's not even about her race baiting either. It's her complete lack of competence in communication/teamwork. I don't think she is a competent producer in any way whatsoever. As dislikeable as Jason is, if he punched her in the face he should get an award.
Also, I'm starting to think that Effie is coached to act this way for the show. I mean she's just absurd sometimes, it's like she's a fricking caricature of every SJW race baiting drama queen rolled into one person. There's just no way she'd have been in any way successful acting that way her whole life.

Oh definitely. Some scenes already this season are rather suspect with no hand in them...
