Frank Sabotka is the bar tender in a few of those scenes. Does HBO have all these actors and actresses under contract or something? They are always using the same people in various series. Not that I'm complaining, just curious

I think the issue more is that an HBO show is critically or commercially popular, they tend to ask the producers and writers to come up with more shows. And those people recast the same folks because they were good and worth dealing with. I mean, David Simon put a bunch of Wire people in Treme.
Plus, the Sopranos was full of actors playing mobsters. The Wire was full of actors playing police officers and drug dealers. I imagine those are categories of people that will be prevalent in The Deuce.
