or is it that women are in it?

If you're still bringing this up then you've learned nothing from anyone who has posted in this thread. One last time though.

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT IT IS ALL WOMEN, BUT ENTIRELY WITH THE WOMEN THEY DECIDED TO CAST IN THE MOVIE. NOT THAT ITS ALL WOMEN. NOT THAT ITS ALL WOMEN. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT BEING ALL WOMEN. NOTHING AT ALL, NOW SHUT THE frick UP ABOUT ANYONE BEING SEXIST OR ANTI-FEMINIST JUST BECAUSE THEY QUESTION THE TYPE OF WOMEN THEY SELECTED FOR THIS MOVIE.

Besides, why in the frick would anyone carry the mantle of feminism in the form of a Ghostbusters movie? Like what in the actual frick, man? How about just go run a fricking feminism campaign instead of having people think "oh well there is probably a pro-feminism move" all the while the directors/actors/everyone involved with the movie not saying anything directly about it.

So, can you finally stop bringing up this "sexism" bullshite? GMAFB

Oh come on, please list the 4 women that this board and the internet in general wouldn't have complained about in this movie.

I have no idea, because i have no idea about the pool of women they had to select from if they actually even gave anyone else a chance. From my perspective theres literally an infinite amount of women to choose from. Sounds like they didn't really look too far because McCarthy had done about 4 films with Feig, and one with Wiig, so that eliminates 2 of the necessary main role auditions.

There are plenty of other valid concerns.

bullshite but ok

It's been rampant in these threads and around the internet from the moment the news broke.

Now if you happen to not like these women, fine, or Paul Feig, fine...but the strong majority of people have bitched solely because of women and this agenda they see being pushed.

Jeez dude. All I need to say is "I don't like Paul Feig". Everyone who likes Paul Feig acts like I just slapped their momma.

No no. You are just anti-feminism, just admit it. You know you are. Admit it.

Its because you dont think women are equal, that much is clear, because otherwise you'd love this movie.

It seems like that's the biggest problem. If there's a hint of anti feminism, people come out to defend it. I just wish that people would listen to the issues first before reacting.

Its almost like I've simply been enthralled with every male actor in every stereotypical male role, and never had any criticism for any movie with a lead male.

But now, since its female leads in a typical male role...well you can't criticize anything about this! You're not allowed to criticize or its "anti-feminism". Forget the fact that you've criticized other movies before with male leads in male roles, and just as much disliked those roles.

All of Paul Feig's movies have been the same. I'm basing my judgments on that.

A dying or perhaps dead notion in current america.

Stewart had a great skit on showing a montag of news reporters saying things like "we are guessing" "it's possible" " reports coming in now, unchecked for accuracy"

People have been indoctrinated to trigger immediately and, when triggered over an issue, sink their teeth in and attack relentlessly.

Never think, never wait for all the facts, never aplogize, and never slow down. Balls to the wall aggression against anything that triggers you and anyone who doesn't not only agree, but doesnt immediately jump to fight by your side.

It's frightening.

You know, there are a ton of people out there who love Batman and Superman but can't fricking stand Zack Snyder so they're pissed about the DC movies coming out. I can tell them until I'm blue in the face to "wait for the movie to come out" and they won't give a shite. They've seen all of Snyder's movies and they can't stand his style and they have no faith that the BvS movie will any good, and I can understand where they're coming from. If you don't like a guy's style, it's just probably not gonna be your thing. I will probably watch this movie for free somewhere down the road, and if I think it's good, I'll eat crow. But I have absolutely no faith it will be.

honestly man, if your thing is against Feig as a filmmaker I totally get it. Most people pre-hating the movie aren't doing so on those grounds though.

I couldn't give less of a shite about that thread. If you're mad at the people in that thread then go post in that thread. The people in this thead aren't talking about that.

You, on the other hand, have an agenda to push so you constantly ignore what anyone is saying a and just keep blaring your platform.

You're beyond help and incapable of logical discussion. I'm upset about the direction of a movie franchise. That has nothing to do with people at a hospital. I never mentioned the hospital. Are you suggesting this film and it's cast should be forever above criticism because they did a photo op at a hospital?

Really? That's easy.

And I'll even give you Wigg, but...

Elizabeth Banks
Anna Kendrick
Tina Feya
Amy Poehler
Emma Stone
Rose Byrne
Rosario Dawson
Emily Blunt
Elisabeth Moss
Mila Kunis
Mindy Kaling
Leslie Mann
Aubrey Plaza

You could probably also mine the OitNB cast: Schilling and Danielle Brooks for sure, Lyonne, etc.

Take your Pick of 4 there. All more talented than the cast they have and I think any four, I'd be far less worried.

I have seen the movie, back in 1984. I don't need it to be ruined.
