From September onwards, Netflix will become the exclusive US pay TV home of the latest films from Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar. And we’re excited to be bringing you new and exclusive Netflix Original movies including Mascots from the master of low-key comedy Christopher Guest (Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind) and War Machine, from acclaimed Australian director David Michod and starring Brad Pitt, in the serio-comic tale of the U.S. military adventure in Afghanistan.

All you people who complain about Netflix not having any movies can now watch Star Wars and Marvel to your heart's content.

Yeah, I'll be watching that one.

If we get the Original Trilogy (not the Special Editions) for streaming on Netflix, I will probably watch them a million times.
That alone would get Netflix business out their asses.

I think FOX still owns streaming and broadcast rights to the OT.

No wonder their stock is up 3% today. Them breaking away from the new release distributor was the main cause of their decline. Looks like they just wanted to eliminate the middle man.
Or maybe they finally saw the light of new release appeal.

We watch a good bit of movies, and I have never had a problem finding one to watch on Netflix. Haters gonna hate I guess

Also arriving in July for the first time are such classic family favorite franchises such as Back to The Future & Lethal Weapon.
Nothing says family movie night like Lethal Weapon

Me neither, but then again I like indie and foreign movies. I think a lot of people expect them to have all the newest blockbuster movies and they get upset when that isn't the case.

admittedly this is a bit of a let down, but it's the same with all the other services. I get netflix DVDs for the new releases I don't want to wait for

They need to get South Park back.

The wacky hijinks of Mel Gibson's suicidal Martin Riggs is great for the whole family. Plus you have the possibility for a real teachable moment if the kids ask why the guy who plays Riggs isn't in many movies any more.

Which is awesome. People had a right to be a little put off by their dwindling movie selection as of late (and I'm not even talking about new blockbusters, that's never been their niche) while announcing a price hike. But if this is what comes with a rise in monthly subscription, then it's great news.

Totally watched all of them as family movies Haha.

Netflix has always had very solid content. Great foreign and indie selections.
Losing Miramax stinks for that. Gaining this....eh. I usually catch the big Disney backed films in the theater, not sure it's a good trade.
