Then name at least one movie Hollywood could reboot or remake successfully to a majority of people's liking.

Off the top of my head, they most likely couldn't reboot or remake these below to many's liking:

_The Back To The Future series
_Hear No Evil See No Evil

The only movie I can think of off the top of my head, that Hollywood could reboot successfully to many's liking, to this modern time, would be "Killer Klowns From Outer Space".

I don't think "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" could be successfully remade without its cast, its director, its composer, and the time period in which it was made (no CGI, proper stuntwork, audience tolerance for suspense in action sequences).

An actual good Eragon movie series unlike the last shite excuse for a movie.

Came to post BTTF. The time it was made in, with Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd in the lead roles - that's the only reason it works. It would never...EVER....work today. Period.

I can't think off the top of my head of a movie I'd like to see a reboot of. I would like to see Ender's Game get a fair shake after that abomination that we were given a couple years ago. It was so rushed and clipped that you got none of what made the book great. Maybe it can't be done.

"Apocalypse Now" Comes to mind. Don't think they could assemble a cast even close to this one today.

Well that and Bob Zemeckis said he'll never let it happen. Which is definitely a good thing.
