I have never seen the movie but I loved the books as a kid. I would love to see Disney make some movies from the series.

Strong, but top heavy and lacking depth. I feel like 94-95 would be the early 2000s Big XII while 84-85 would be the SEC.

1995 is pretty much all depth. Tons of fantastic pictures that are beloved by small niches of people but lacks huge notoriety. Dead Presidents, for example, is probably the best blaxpoitation film made outside the 70s heydey. Yes, even better than Jackie Brown.

Wow, 2 really strong periods for film. What is nice to see is no sequels or movies with a 2 at the end....wonder if that has something to do with the quality of the recent film era.
