I don't think he is meant to be The Robin or next Batman, he will eventually be the next protector of Gotham and who he chooses to be is left to the audience.

This makes the ending so much worse.

It was a terrible moment anyways, and there's no need for ambiguity in that moment.

The whole money aspect was just too much for me to get past. Bruce Wayne can't lose billions of dollars that fast. I don't care how much the company was struggling. Billionaires don't go completely bust in an hour (unless your names are Randolph and Mortimer). It just didn't make any sense and I got too wrapped up in that.. Well that and the awesome chiropractor in jail that punches backs into alignment and heals the crippled..

I think it was just a nod saying, JLG was the robin of Nolan's Batman universe

The entire stock exchange was taken over by terrorists at the same time you lose billions. Should be pretty easy to prove fraud.

It was tough for me to get around that.

Fox mentions this when he tells Bruce and shows him the paper. His financial state in TDKR was just a freezing of assets until they proved fraud.

The horrible aftermath of Blake taking up the mantle of Gothams protector is that he simply will fail.

Bruce was trained by the League of Shadows and had the financial backing to carry out such a crusade as being The Batman.

Just being a cop with a conscience doesn't really make you qualified to be The Batman.

The theme throughout all 3 movies is that "anyone can be Batman". It's said several times.

Blake wouldn't be like Wayne obv but you never know. I don't think Selena Kyle was in the League of Shadows but she could handle herself.

The villains in the Nolan universe aren't the supernatural types that are from the comics. They are real people. A real person could defeat them (and the only real bad guys we know of are either dead or in jail)

What also didn't make sense was his power getting shut off and his car towed. Electric companies don't do that, it would have been a few weeks to months if he didn't pay his bill..
And the same thing with the car, but you can't convince me that Bruce Wayne doesn't have his cars paid off already.

But it also disproves this multiple times- from the obvious and blatant (the "hockey pads" scene) to the slightly more subtle-- he willed himself past paralysis and through fear (no rope) at the same time an entire city (country really) sat paralyzed and unable/willing to act against Bane.

Right, I mean I don't think anyone thought that end scene in Paris was a weekend shot before Bruce goes into his night shift job at the cafe and Selina starts picking pockets-- it was pretty heavily implied he retired to an easy life.

Not to mention if you're seizing assets to cover debts you probably a look a bit more into all the missing military prototypes.

Batman did die in the blast.

Think about it for an hour or two, you'll get it...

Bruce & Batman baws.

I was disappointed to see him drinking tea. Seemed like a 'let's give this a nice ending' cop out.

That's probably the most believable thing you will see in Batman or any other comic book movie

I feel like this is true and think the part with Alfred was to throw the viewer off.
