MUD w/ Matthew McConaughey(sp?) is the best movie I've seen in a while

It was either be 10 minutes late to Iron Man or 25 minutes early to MUD. So glad we went with the be on time choice.

Probably the best movie I've seen since The Impossible last year. I honestly don't think a person could dislike this movie. It just does everything really well. Makonahey(sp?) was awesome, some of the best kid acting I've seen, had a very real feeling to it, they got redneck Arkansas right, will be a lot of 14 year old kids all time favorite movie and even has an old west/Open Range style shootout.

Go see it. You'll like it.
Thought for those who've seen it?

Finally got around to watching the trailer for it. I've heard talk of it and seen posters of it for a while, but for some reason never bothered to investigate it. I will definitely check it out.

Trailer makes it look pretty boring.

I'm sure its a good movie. The trailer itself though just doesn't really draw me in.

I assume it's about some "rogue outlaw" who finds a boat in a tree then gets the help of some kids of the chick he is fricking to help him fix it up so he can ride off into the horizon and become a new man?

Haven't seen it yet, but it's at the top of my list.

If you haven't seen Jeff Nichols other films check them out.

Shotgun Stories and Take Shelter are both great as well.

I'll make arrangements to see it this week. Shotgun Stories was good and Take Shelter was very very very good. Been hearing great things, can't wait to this director's latest work. Have not seen The Impossible, will check it out. If either of these movies are anything less than awesome, I'll have no choice but to hold you responsible...fair warning.

Logged off as soon as I posted this.

Alright man I know a movie is $10 these days, + $18 for the popcorn and drinks, and I really don't think it should cost a man $30 to see a movie and really be getting away cheap, but I'd say this one is worth the price of admission.

Also, The Impossible is at redbox now. So is Hitchcock, another good one that went under the radar. I'm a huge Hitchcock fan though.

If it happens then good for him, but I doubt they'll give a best actor award to Matthew mccanaughy(sp?). Bunch of old predictable bastards, I hate the academy.

I've been a huge Matthew McConaughey fan since his appearance on Eastbound and Down. I didn't dislike him before that, but that made me a fan. I'm definitely interested in this film and I'm glad to hear it's good.

Like I say, it'd be hard to hate this movie.

If anybody can, it's Carson.

I'm sure it will be well worth the ticket price. Yeah the cost of going to a movie even without a family is too expensive but hey so is everything else these days.

I'm aware of this as I too casted a ballet in the latest MWADS and I too voted for four Hitchcock movies.
