I am a big Craig Robinson fan, but does anyone else think "Mr. Robinson" even lasts a full season?

This is painful.

Only reason I know of this show is from commercials during Last Comic Standing.

And yeah it'll last a season. Because it's an August show. That's when they usually show garbage that that's gone to series that they have lying around.

It's brutal to watch. I watched one episode and it happened to be the one with Gary Cole, I think I may have lost respect for two comics in one episode.

Apparently it got decent ratings for a summer show. But they only made a 6 episode order and they're going to show them all in 3 weeks so I'm not sure why they've promoted it so much.

Yes it will last the season and maybe 2....why....political correctness. NBC is not going to cancel a sitcom with their lead a black male after only 6 episodes. Not gonna happen.

And you're probably a guy who complains about everybody else playing the race card.

Its horrible. Right on par with most of the new broad appeal sitcoms NBC is trying.

It was nice seeing Meagan Good.

Seemed like a rip off of the Steve Harvey show and I'm not sure that's the show I'd try to rip off

Pretty much the entire lineup of new network TV looks like shite

Aside from having a teacher that sings, it's nothing like the Steve Harvey show. And they aren't ripping off the idea, because this is based on Robinson's real life. He was a music teacher.
The Steve Harvey show was much better.

I'll be honest I didn't know that about Craig Robinson and only watched the pilot. The fact that ex musician turned music teacher trying to get old high school flame reminded me of Steve Harvey show. Also I actually did enjoy Steve Harvey show and watched all the reruns on TBS back in the day haha

Yea, most people probably don't know that. I heard it recently on some promo for the show.

I watched both episodes. Many of the jokes were cringe-inducing bad, especially when paired with the laugh track. I'm going to give it a few more episodes (since their only 30 minutes long) to see if it finds its groove, but I don't have much faith in this show.

Yeah, I watched the last 5 minutes of an episode last night waiting for the HOF game, and that really turned me off. Sucks, because I like Craig Robinson, so I was hoping he would have a decent show.

I watched a few minutes of it last night and I felt like I was watching some old TGIF sitcom. Just horrible.

NBC at least had an audience with their niche comedies, the broad appeal approach has been a complete fail

When you have gold like Mr. Robinson waiting in the wings stuff like the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt can be kicked to the curb.
