Haven't seen it myself yet, but linking for those interested. Mr. Plinkett's reviews are... entertaining to say the least!

Saw this. This is probably his worst review because Titanic really isn't a bad movie. I know it's popular to shite on it because it is a flawed movie that just so happens to be a love story, but the film has spectacle and the cast is very good. There's a reason why it won 11 Oscars. Despite its flaws, it was still an excellent movie that, despite its 3-hour length, has good replay value.

Also...his Revenge of the Sith review wasn't that funny either because, while Revenge of the Sith was a part of that god awful prequel trilogy, it happened to be a decent movie. Throw out the (few) scenes with Anakin and Padme and it becomes a solid movie.

I don't know man. I kind of find it hard not to agree with almost everything he says in that review as well.

Sith was better than the first two, but it has same problems as the others - terrible acting, crappy story telling, god-awful directing.

And Plinkett does bring up a lot of good points about the Trilogy in the Sith Review - was it a story that needed to be told?

They bastardized so much of the mythos of Star Wars it's hard not to facepalm throughout most of the movie.

To me, Revenge of the Sith suffered most from clunky acting and odd dialogue.

Anakin's conversion from good guy to bad guy happened so fast that it made my head spin.

And lastly, the whole part between Anakin turning bad and betraying the Jedi and meeting his comeuppance at the hands of Obi Wan seemed to take what, an afternoon?

I can see the scene in Star Wars now:

Obi Wan (to Luke): "Your father was seduced by the dark side. He betrayed and killed the Jedi. It was a really bad day."

When I say "decent" I mean in the realm of a C+ or a B-. It's watchable is what I mean by that.

Yeah I agree it's watchable. It entertains at times. The Emperor is a great character and single-handedly saves the movie from epic failure.

The first one is terrible. A child saving the day by accident = a bad movie.

The second... well, the "love story" and over-acting is too much. The fact that I can barely recall the final scenes makes it completely forgettable.

I think he himself acknowledged it was a good action film in and of itself, and that there was truly a lot of effort put into this film, but the characters absolutely blow and are incredibly simplistic assholes. I think he was right on the money.

Honestly, I think that may be his best of his 3 prequel reviews. He agreed that it was the best of the prequels, but he proceeded to rip it apart on being a half-assed film regardless.
