Mr. Mercedes - new series on Audience network (DirecTV/U-Verse exclusive)

I've been seeing previews for this and it looks interesting. It's a detective series with Brendan Gleeson in the lead role and based on a Stephen King novel, but the fact that it's not on a bigger network may be a red flag. Anyone planning on checking this out or read the novel and know if it's a good story?

The trilogy is very tame for SK, but entertaining nonetheless. Gleason is an interesting choice for the lead. I'll be watching, but just to see how close they can stick to the source material.

Did anyone else watch this? I was bored the other night and decided to check it out, not knowing anything about it and I'm hooked. Excited for the new season in 2 months.
