Just watched Sideways again and I was probably too young the first time I watched it. Great movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy. But then again I was blazed AF first time I saw it and the majority went way over my head

Inglorious Basterds. I went into the theater expecting a whole lot of Nazi killing, not having to read a novel's worth of subtitles.

But now I thoroughly enjoy it.

Same. It's possible my favorite movie, but I did not feel that way the first time I saw it.

That one is on my rewatch list, I was in a pretty shitty mode the first time I watched it.

I blame the us trailers for this though. I went to the movie expecting more thriller, less character study, so I was in no mood for the careful and methodical pacing of the film.

It has since become a movie I look forward to watching about once a year, and Anton corbijn has become one of my favorite directors.

It's A Wonderful Life

Thought it was super boring when I first watched it as a young pup.

Now I love watching it every Christmas Eve.

In Bruges.

I had heard it was a great movie and the synopsis made me think it was some kind of suspenseful thriller about assassins.

Throughout the movie, I kept thinking, "What the frick is going on? That quote about ten minutes ago though was golden."

By the end of the movie, I realized that the dialogue was some of the best writing I'd ever seen and wanted to watch it again.

I thought Anchorman was terrible the first time through, just a bunch of one-liners put in for cheap laughs. The second time, I had a better feel for the timing and the outrageousness of everything.

Borat

Watched it alone the first time at like 3 a.m. and had to turn it off. Watched it a week later and laughed my arse off.
