Watchmen
The Raid Redemption. I didn't tell her it was a foreign movie until we were buying tickets.

If my wife didn't like Watchmen, we'd never have gotten married.

I've been trying to think of something but we generally only go to the movies for stuff we both know we like.

12 Years a Slave - she liked the movie but some of the images in it really upset her and she was in a bad mood for a few days.

Never had that happen at the theater, but they've been times when I've suggested movies at home they she wasn't into.

One she still uses as a reference any time this happens now is The Brother McMullen. The movie started REALLY slowly and was mostly dialog...maybe not even much background music anywhere and she turned to me and said, "I think there's something wrong with this movie."

LINK

To this day if something doesn't grab her attention, that's the line I hear...

I never bring my wife to the movies. She hates going to a cinema. So I don't have to really worry about this.

Not so much that she hated it. But I saw Girl With The Dragon Tattoo with a chick I was seeing a few years ago. Needless to say, that film has so disturbing scenes. She started crying. I felt really awkward.

Funny story. A few weeks back my wife and I decided that we would go to the movies on that Sunday afternoon. So, that morning she gets up and goes to a yoga class. After that class, she goes to a yoga workshop centered around learning how to help disabled vets through yoga.

She gets home from about 3 hours of a vrey peaceful environment, focused on healing, compassion, and helping your fellow man, and I took her to see Mad Max Fury Road.

She sat there in utter silence, while her whole peaceful chakra was shredded to nothingness by explosions, violence, chaos, cruelty, and general mayhem, all turned up to 11.

When it ended she looked over at me and said "What the frick just happened!?"

I haven't lived that one down yet.
