Which of these mainstream "horror" shows did you prefer that were all the rage in the late 80's and early 90's? Did I leave any out? (Tales from the Crypt doesn't count, since, even back then, HBO was better.)

Monsters was more light hearted and fun than the other two. I'll go with that.

The opening scenes/intro music still make me a bit uneasy. As a kid, it terrified me.

Same here. Until one day I noticed a car driving down a road in the background. Then I was like "wait a minute..."

Of those three, I would go with Tales from the Darkside.

From the same style of show, I liked The Ray Bradbury Theater, Dead Man's Gun, Amazing Stories, and The Hitchhiker.

There are about 3 tales in Tales from the Crypt that are STILL burned in my brain.

So that.

The mirror episode. yeah F That one. Which is exactly why I love horror.

For me, it was the one with Tony Goldwyn and Beau Bridges where they paralyzed the med student.

Steven Spielberg had an anthology series in the mid 80s I believe: Amazing Stories. I remember some of them being quite creepy. However, Tales from the Darkside was the standard.
