Jaws had a tremendous amount of script revisions. The script was still being rewritten while they were in the middle of shooting.

And it turned out to be one of the greatest American films ever produced.

It's well documented that Jaws WA so good because the Shark wasn't ready. Had that retarded looking shark been used the whole movie it wouldn't be half what it is today.

For the record, it's one of my top 10 favorite movies.

That's an exception, not the rule

I've given you many other examples.

I concur.

I actually wouldn't mind if they left out the future stuff. That would be too confusing in a movie.

I personally like the future stuff blended with the old but with a limited amount of time in a popcorn movie, it would tough to do well and correctly. I wouldn't mind them showing present day Fassbender getting kidnapped and thrown into the Animus while they are telling him that they only want the apple, then throwing back to him as an assassin. you could end it with him waking up after finding the Apple and maybe showing that he has some present day skills to set up the next movie.

If it does well then they can continue the story by delving a little deeper into the story.

I wonder if the fighting will be as repetitive as the game?

Jeremy Irons & Brendan Gleeson Join ‘Assassin’s Creed’

EXCLUSIVE: Jeremy Irons and Brendan Gleeson are joining the cast of Assassin’s Creed starring opposite Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard for director Justin Kurzel, New Regency and UbiSoft Motion Pictures; Fox is distributing. The live-action film is an adaptation of the wildly popular Ubisoft video game. Irons plays Cotillard’s father. Gleeson plays Fassbender’s father. This is one heck of a lineup as the production companies are very smartly reaching beyond the already established Assassin’s Creed brand and have put together a high-quality cast.

That's a solid cast they're putting together for this.

Some movies aren't even really "made" until they get to the editing room. Ferris Bueller and Caddyshack come to mind.

I loved the Altair and the Ezio games. Hated the revolutionary war game and haven't gotten to any others. But Ezio would've made a great game. Altair had a great setting but Ezio would've had broader appeal to the average movie goer, bc he's a charismatic Italian tooling around Renaissance Italy.

Dude will be one of the main Templars, he plays that angry against the world character well. Jeremy Irons will be the Assassin's guide for Fassbender.

What I hate is that this won't follow the video games. Ezio is one of my favorite characters of all time.

Like I said earlier in the thread, the games have a great story to go with too. They were very well written and I would think that you could easily adapt it but they will take a shite on the story to add more slow mo kills.
