I've watched the marvel movies and most of the tv stuff except for LC. Always thought Hydra was more widespread and powerful but after finishing Iron Fist it seems The Hand is older and just as widespread. Besides ninjas they have infiltrated the corporate world too.

Talk about first world problems......debating the supremacy of mythical organizations like The Hand or Hydra

Also, I do not have thought nor a solution to your question. Apologies

I would go with The Hand b/c they seem to be a bit better about not overplaying their hand (no pun intended) which makes it less likely they get fully taken out.

The Hand is more powerful because of the magic/mystical factor.

HYDRA has/had more influence globally but were exposed and dealt with.

I think the greatest strength either of these organizations possessed was the ability to remain unknown (post-WWII for Hydra, of course), to be the power behind the throne so to speak, so that they could influence events uninterrupted. The Hand was stronger in this respect than Hydra and thus has my vote.

Well, Hydra has basically been destroyed, so I'll go with The Hand. But Hydra's plan for world control was very very close to working, at least a couple of times. It had a political wing and a mystical wing and both each nearly won. I'm not even sure what The Hand is trying to do.

We'll find out in The Defenders, but we have some hints:

-All of the property they've been buying up since Daredevil Season 1 and even in Iron Fist Season 1.

-Bakuto's Army

-Elektra Natchios' impending resurrection

At their height, Hydra no question. Don't forget, they've been around for millennia as well. They were literally minutes away from world domination (if the hellicarries launch, that's it).

I still haven't finished Iron Fist, but right now I'd say the hand is currently much more powerful. I mean, they're still an organization, which is more than Hydra can say.

My guess is they want to go home, but they are scared of flying. So they are digging a hole to China.

He may or may not return. The organization has been destroyed as far as we know. Heck their reason for being in the first place was just killed.

The answer is The Hand, but only because The Avengers haven't dealt with them. They'd be an easy mop up job once they were exposed.

ETA: I immediately felt like a huge nerd after clicking submit.

Yeah, except for that whole resurrection unless you destroy the body or cut off the head thing.
