In other words. We fully expected shitlery to win, so when she lost, our end game for the season went into the trash.

Well yeah. Their entire story arc went to shite when shitlery lost. I do wanna know where the member berry storyline was supposed to go.

I hated that actually. The member berries went way off the deep end at one point.
This is just an example of M&T trying to do too many current events type stuff. South Park is at its best when it's about four foul-mouthed boys getting into random shite. The current event stuff is great but it's gotten so heavy with it that the show started to suffer for it.

I think the linear Timeline episodes are too hard and too full of minutia to make in 6 days and still be good.
In the old days it didn't matter if something contradicted an earlier episode... They could laugh it off in an ironic way... Not so when every episode builds off another and you have to maintain continuity.
I'm sure they spent many wasted hours rechecking old episodes for essentially quality control.
It also puts the in a box creatively, basically doing the same joke for 10 episodes.
They should go back to the glory days episodes... Just say frick it and do whatever story you want whenever you want.

Or they didn't honestly try. I had no problem with them savaging Trump, I mean the die was cast the prior year when he fricked Canadian Trump to death.
Where I had a beef was that, for the first time in my memory M&T didn't dole it out. They had a uniquely machiavellian candidate and comedic gold in Hillary and almost totally let her slide.
All they riffed on was "God, why did it have to be her? and have her say some robotic shite. As a devout fan (even when I disagreed with them) I thought it took a ton away from the potential of the season.

Bressus finally got to be right. I liked last season but I couldn't even finish this season. I think I got about halfway and just couldn't take it anymore.
