I just finished it. I think there's plenty of story-line going into S2, whenever that happens.

Cottonmouth >>> Shades >>> Diamondback, unfortunately.

Ali was the best thing this show had going. I hated it when he was killed off.

I thought Shades was awesome, FWIW, and I love that he'll (hopefully) factor in just as heavily going forward.

I loved the whole vibe of the series. It was gritty, but not in the same way that DD/JJ is gritty. It had a lighter, almost humorous vibe to it all the way through, which I appreciated.

Again, I loved the seque at the end of E13, leading into S2.

This was a cool show.

I can't wait for Iron Fist.

Also, loved Fish.

Yes I wish they had given diamondback a lesser role and made cottonmouth the main villain.

I kept hoping Murdock would show up at the end to defend him, but that may happen in the defenders.

They handled the powers of Luke very well, highlighting its disadvantages when injured.

The scene of him atracking Fort Knox was awesome and my favorite scene of the season, up there with Daredevil's similar long fights in season 1/2.

I wonder if the Judas weaponry will loom large in the greater MCU. How effective would it be against Iron Man? Hulk? Thor?

I am pumped for both iron fist and defenders now.

The Judas is ineffective against vibranium, but will tear Stark's armor apart.

I'm interested to see Diamondback's connection. How does a 2 bit thug obsessed with ruining his step brother get access to high end gear like that?

What happened with Misty's arm? It seemed to be on the verge of being lost one moment with the brachial artery tied off with floss. Then in a sling. Then she was using it no problem. I kept wondering if I missed a scene where Tony showed up and installed a bionic arm.

Cottonmouth and Mariah were the best villains. Diamondback is a bit too over the top. I actually wouldn't mind Cornell's death at the hands of Mariah if Diamondback was a bettter villain. Wouldn't even be that bad if he was toned down.

Obviously, Mariah can't be the only villain. I would have preferred Shades taking over the main antagonist role to keeping Diamondback around.

However, the show was still very good, especially in the first half. The ending cliffhangers were all pretty good and ending to applause with a skyline shot of the city was perfect. Music was great, social consciousness aspects were done fine and not too preachy most of the time.

Loved Pops. Great cast overall and excited to see how the Defenders come together. There's a lot on the table. i just hope Diamondback isn't involved in the Defenders

Another reason I think Cornell was better is because Luke's better when he's actually bulletproof and can only be hurt through non-physical means.

Yeah, I honestly hated the Diamondback character. Cottonmouth was perfect, and I wish we had gotten a whole season to dig deeper into the dynamic between he, Mariah, and Luke.

My theory is it gets infected, then amputated. Or they were teasing it for down the line

I love the neo Blaxploitation style to it. I get bored because he's invincible but it's cheesy awesome

I love that it isn't concerned with political correctness

Mariah says "keep harlem black" and the n word is said countless times.

simone missick does it for me...spank bank material.

Show took a big dip after Cottonmouth died. Up until that point it was good though.

The fight scenes were generally not great. The music was fantastic. I thought it was well cast and acted.

Yeah I actually loved that about the show. It helped me appreciate Harlem more for what it is. They played on a TON of stereotypes but on both ends of the spectrum. Police vs blacks, Method man rapping about trayvon, Luke sounding more educated and being the good guy, political corruption which actually hurts the black community. Pretty crazy they went as deep as they did and didnt care about offending anyone.

I have watched the first two episodes.

I am not getting the hype. It is not bad, but it is SLOW.

In the 2 hours I have watched, he has used his powers less than 1 minute of action?

Perhaps it picks up the pace?

It does start off slow, but once he steps off the sidelines the pacing picks up.

Slowness has been a gripe towards all four Netflix/Marvel series so far (DD1/2, JJ, LC). I think everyone sort of knows what to expect by now. It's not an Avengers movie. All of these series are slow-burners. It's an unnecessary gripe.

DD and JJ were not nearly this slow. I thoroughly enjoyed both series.

I understand building a plot and a world, but again....

60 seconds of powers in 110+ minutes of show?
