The last four of Phase 1? They're tied. And that includes Avengers with 1.5 Bill.

No, the last 4 Marvel movies versus the last 4 DC movies. That includes Suicide Shart.

You're looking at 3.5 Bill against 3.1 Bill.

Suicide Squad would be considered a hit if it was a Marvel film. It did about the same as Guardians 1, which is what they were aiming for.

The problem is that Snyder has Superman portrayed as a selfish, short-sighted child that doesn't truly become Superman until he dies.

Other than a line from Ma Kent about Clark not owing the world anything, ircc, the entire BvS movie is about him showing the world that he can be trusted and is a hero. Maybe the bathtub scene he had a moment of self-doubt about his mission but in the context of the movie, place yourself in his shoes. He's trying to do right by the humanity and the people are either viewing him as a messiah figure or something evil on the verge of destroying everything.

75 years of comic history and cultural perception shouldn't factor into the actual context of the movies.

That's a very big and extremely selfish line that the movie never contradicts nor does Superman himself contradict. Everything is on Superman's terms and no one else's. Hell, the previous movie literally ended on those terms when he destroys a 20 million dollar drone and laughs at the military for trying to track him. He is merely a tyrant and a decent Lex Luthor would have every reason to hate and fear him.

Umm, how? He clearly hates his job and is nothing more than a tyranical a-hole. Really Clark's entire beef with Batman is him stepping in his territory. Like "how dare he". All they show is him abusing Jesus' symbolism, people worshipping him for no reason given the events of the last film, and just being a depressing a-hole. There's nothing in it that he does that indicates Snyder has read any Superman comic but "The Dark Knight Returns". The a-hole needs to read "All Star Superman", which I'm sure he hasn't at least at the time of BvS.

This might be the biggest load of fan fiction drivel I've ever read. You tried hard to convince yourself that this was how the movie actually was, didn't you?
