Defenders im not sure on how i feel, but i would love to see the other 2 - especially Planet Hulk - but how would that work? FF4 would have to still be around due to Reed Richards being an instrumental figure to send him off planet in the 1st place.

Couldn't they replace that with another character à la Tony Stark inventing Ultron?

With the way they wrote him off in Avengers 2, some people speculated that it was to set up Planet Hulk. I don't know how much interest they have in doing a Hulk movie though. He has not been much of a success for them.

while I do agree, i liked the Norton Hulk.

i think a Ruffalo Hulk film would be awesome.

as for changing it, im sure they could and probly would. you never know - with AoS really focusing on the Inhuman side of the MCU, and an upcoming film - they could setup a Planet Hulk, and I would not be disappointed at all.

the Cartoon Movie was pretty solid.

There is no way they are doing Planet Hulk.

I don't know, they are probably going to start transitioning their heroes, so... maybe a Falcon movie, Ms. Marvel (after Captain Marvel and Inhumans), and then either Hawkeye or Black Widow. Or both.

GotG3 in that May Slot - I bet there's a small chance this came out because while Gunn is finishing up the Vol. 2 Script he's finding it to be two movies, not one.
Black Widow
Iron Man 4

They are going to pay RDJ $50 million to close it out officially.

Defenders is going to be small screen.

Perhaps a Captain Bucky America?

Could be waiting a while to see if they can work out a deal for FF4?

Maybe they'll wait and see if the Defenders is a hit on the small screen. They'll have gone through the original 60 episodes by then, right?

I can't get behind a strictly Black Widow movie. She's kinda boring to me. I'm thinking a prequel with Hawkeye about Budapest.

I know it's a shame Fawcett Comics isn't making their own Captain Marvel movie, and some people who just bought the rights with cold hard cash and remade the character are

Too bad the real Captain Marvel died in 1953.

Yes. Captain Marvel has been a woman for about 35 years now. The original Captain Marvel has been dead a loooooong time. Though it's a great graphic novel and you should read it.

These others are pumping up Shazam, which is a different Captain Marvel owned by DC, which is a long boring story. But he's not even in the Marvel universe. The Marvel male version looked like this:

Not that boring, unless you mean Shazam is boring. I mean DC did sue someone into closing their business for infringement (for like 7 or 8 years), restrict them from making the comic, and then subsequently bought the rights to make the comic themselves (after Marvel had started producing their CM). That's pretty dirty on DC's part.

Fawcett creates a knockoff of Superman, complete with a recreation of the cover of Action #1, but DC's the bad guy for taking them to court? It's business. Just as Marvel scurrying to create a "Captain Marvel" to grab the name was business.

They aren't the bad guy for taking them to court, but taking them to court AND THEN purchasing it to make money off of during the Silver Age is pretty low. And yeah it's just business and all legal.

But you guys are concerned about the "Real Captain Marvel," which is just funny given these circumstances. It's not like he's "storied," or like he's a DC classic hero. Captain Marvel is a classic hero. Shazam is a business decision, that wasn't a creation of DC.

Court Decision was 1953...Marvel "scurries" over 14 years to hurry up and grab the name? And then it takes another 5 for DC to decide? I'm not sure that's scurrying in either case. If Marvel came out with Captain Marvel in 1954, yeah that's scurrying.

Superman couldn't even fly when Captain Marvel was introduced. Also, Lex Luthor was essentially a copy of Dr Sivana (going by DC's standard) and Superboy was created b/c Captain Marvel Jr (who Elvis based his outfits off of) was so popular. DC actually copied Fawcett just as much as Fawcett copied DC.

It's not like Superman was a completely original idea anyway. His early incarnation is basically Hercules in a carnival strongman outfit.

DC was just mega butthurt that the Big Red Cheese was more popular at the time. The only reason they "won" in the end was b/c declining industry wide comic sales convinced Fawcett that comics were a dead fad and it wasn't worth fighting anymore so they settled out of court.

Based on some prior concepts, but there was nothing like him in comics. He started the superhero era of comics. If you don't think that the other companies were following DC's lead you're completely wrong.
