I read this as Mitch Landrieu and got hopeful for you cajuns.

ETA: after thinking about it, that was not appropriate. My apologies. In no way do I wish for death for anybody ever. I thought of it more for his career being RIP. In that I would be hopeful.

He told the story of how Jack Nicholson called him up and said, "I really love you in that film Ed Wood."

And Landau said: "it was a tribute to Bela Lugosi."

And Nicholson said: "it was a tribute to acting."

Is that North by Northwest at the top? I had no idea that was Martin Landau.

Crimes and Misdemeanors was a great film.

I had the same initial thought/hope. No apologies needed.

A great interview with Landau about his cartooning.

One of my favorite Landau moments was when he tore MTV's Kennedy a new one for being unprepared for her interviews. She was working the red carpet at the premiere of Mission Impossible, and asked Landau why he was there. When he told her that he was there as a guest because of his involvement with the MI TV show, she didn't know what the hell he was talking about.

Such a great, often forgotten actor. Has mainstream roles yet somehow isn't a mainstream name.

Strangely, I had always thought Landau to be even older.
