Seems she checks her earpiece constantly. She probably was having issues hearing herself, which wouldn't be a surprise at a slapped together concert like that.

I didn't think it was that horrible. It also sounded like she was sick or her throat was fricked up or something like that.
I won't say she was awesome, but I was expecting a lot worse before I clicked the play button.

She was ok before the 50 second mark. But it gets really really bad after that.

Apparently she was supposed to prerecord, showed up three hours late, so NBC sent her home, and then last minute, told her she could come back on Wednesday for the live show, so she didn't rehearse and shite.
Really she just couldn't handle the high notes. I'm guessing throat issues or no warm up or something.

I'm not a singer so I'm legitimately clueless about stuff like this, and I know there is some amount of "warming up" needed...but even if she came to the show 30 minutes before her set, how can you frick up the notes that bad on a song you've been singing for over 10 years?
