Why is Jake Taylor in the 2 hole? Seems like he would be more of a bottom of the lineup guy especially in the AL. No speed, not a great bat handler....was this a classic lou brown hunch type move for the one game playoff or had taylor manned the 2 hole all season?

The rest of the team sucked.

You had Hays, Taylor,, Dorn, Cerrano.

Those were your studs.

He's got a guy on the other line about a set of white walls... Baseball comes second.

I love this British shite!!!!!!!

With Dorn in the two spot the one game playoff isn't needed IMO.

You have to remember that the owner didn't build a team to win. She wanted them to lose so she could re-locate the Indians to Miami. Taylor may have been the best player available to hit in that slot.

Saw this on this morning and literally thought the exact same thing. Had to be a hunch because he wouldn't be there all year.

in the original cut of the movie she actually did want them to win and went super bitch to try and get them something to rally around.

she revealed it at the end but test audiences didn't like it and they went back and changed it.

that would have angle saved the movie from its biggest flaw. If she wanted them to lose so badly she could have simply forced the GM to call up even bigger scrubs from the minors when they started to win.

Maybe the scrubs in minor leagues were better than the current team?

Glad they did change it.
