Well this explains a lot. Somehow you slipped in Spartacus in the same list as Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. Not that it wasn't enjoyable, but not exactly though provoking TV.

Never gave it a chance when it was out. Just started watching it like 2 days ago lol. Pretty good thus far. I had no idea that it was loosely based on a real police unit

Im just saying I enjoyed these series more than The Wire. Like I stated, Im sure it is a great show. I just did not connect to it like others did. For some reason, I just never got into it.

Not everyone enjoys the same shows in the same way. I know tons of people who hate GOT and didnt like Lost at all. But for me, LOST is the goat and until something comes along that gives me the feels the way it did, it will be.

The Wire was just not that enjoyable to watch. Everyone of those series below I have watched more than once. I would not even think about a rewatch of The Wire.

But thats my opinion and I never expect to change yours or anyone else here. Maybe my title of this thread messed with some of you and maybe it should have been The best TV series ever. Not written. Thats what the discussion is for

Really the last season, season and a half leading up to the ending, but yeah.

Yeah but you gotta admit that Richard Alpert episode was amazing.

I'm actually watching it for the first time. Half way through season 5 at the moment. And no, I don't know how it ends.
