Anyone else's wife/gf obsessed with this shite? Every time I walk past the Tv when this is on, someone is killing someone or beating the shite out of someone or screwing someone.

I don't mind. 20 years ago the man was always the piece of shite in these movies. Now the woman is usually the crazy one. Only rule for me is for her "not to get any damn ideas."

Back in the day, my dad used to call Lifetime the Crying Woman's Channel. The plot of every movie was as follows:
1) Husband pushes or slaps wife.
2) Wife kills Husband.
3) Wife gets away with it.

My mom loves this channel
I've watched quite a few movies on there over time and most are about abduction or murder.
I don't mind cheesy thrillers though.

Yeah I'd say overall lifetime movies are a bit better than hallmark movies in terms of ability to watch from start to finish.

my wife watches this channel all the time. Records nearly every movie that comes on. Luckily we have more than 1 tv so she mostly watches without me. from time to time i will walk past and say "ok, so that's the guy she's engaged to but, THAT is the guy the is going to end up with" just to piss her off.

its the one channel that i always stop and press the info button on the tv guide when i see a movie. the titles and descriptions make Sci Fi channel movies seem artsy. saw one about revenge porn where a mother goes on a crusade to get her daughters nude pictures taken down.

The movies on these channels are the most formulaic kind. Lifetime movies are typically about spousal abuse, murder and/or rape. The Hallmark movies are typically about a girl coming home for the holidays from her ultra successful career in New York and finding true love with a local yokel she knew from her high school days who builds bird houses or something like that.
