Pretty incredible cast: Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, Timothy Spall, Sasha Baron Cohen.
This is probably my favorite Depp role. To date, it is the only role for which he has won a major award (Golden Globe).
I'm not the biggest fan of musicals, but this one doesn't feel like your typical musical.
It is currently streaming on Netflix.

The film was good. See also Sweeney Todd Live in Concert on DVD. It's the full musical with no cuts and minimalist staging. Doogie Howser plays Toby. It's really good.

I loved this movie. Its incredibly dark, but nicely done. Also wanna try one of ms lovetts meat pies.

Sweeney Todd is one of the few musicals I actually like a lot. This movie version of it was extremely well done IMO.

I thought it was very entertaining. One of my favorite movies, but I like musicals.

It wasn't a bad movie, but when casting a musical, it's probably best to hire actors who can sing. Depp was passable but the best singer in the bunch was the kid who played Tobias.

tried to watch it on netflix but I can't stand musicals - I think I made it 10 mins in. but the cast definitely is awesome not to mention Johnny Depp is a personal fav - if he's in it I can watch it usually.
