I've only recently started watching this series, and I've only made it to season 2, episode 6 so far(I'm going to leave everything season 2 related out of this discussion). What was your favorite character arc, moment, episode, etc.
My favorite character arc is definitely wallace. Low level hopper and a relatively minor character all things considered. I definitely love how they portrayed his story in season 1, with him taking care of the kids, making sure they were clothed and went to school keeping them out of foster care to him wanting to get out of the game and go back to school hisself, especially after the situation with Omar's boyfriend Brandon. Also, his storyline of using heroin and then being shipped off to the country only to return because the street life is all he knew, along with his arc coinciding with the arc of his killer(the other light skinned guy, name escapes me). "Wallace, he just isn't built for this shite", with Stringer Bell replying "what about you, are you built for this?"
Very, very good story line for a character hat was relatively minuscule in the show. Very well written character.

I just started the series again for the first time since 2011.
I finished season 1 last week. It's so nice to watch it in widescreen!

I love the scene when they're trying to chase down Avon and then they pass him going the opposite direction and Avon looks dead at them and waves his finger like "no no".
I just love how S1 focuses entirely on the Barksdale operation without any of the side stories. You get to really see a more realistic view of the streets and law enforcement.

You won't have issues remembering Bodies name once you finish watching the series. Favorite character from season 1 is Stringer Bell, favorite arc is Deangelo Barksdale. Too many great moments to single out just one. Favorite episode is "The Wire" (ep. 6).

Season 1 is i think the best season of any show I've ever seen. My favorite part is Lester proving he is not a hump, first getting a picture of Avon, then getting D's pager number.
