Let's list some nonpopular movies

that the average person may not have seen but needs to. Maybe these movies are low budget, non hyped, no named actors but are really well done and need to be seen. I know if it hadn't been for this board, I wouldn't have watched a lot of really excellent films.

Those were all wry popular movies that garnered many awards ad a lot of praise by almost all viewers.

They weren't all that popular in mainstream which was the point of the thread, to help out people who may not have heard of movies like these.

They weren't widely released. That doesn't mean they weren't "popular." When I hear unpopular, I think movies that weren't liked

I know it has big names in it, but I'm always surprised at the number of people who haven't seen it.

I'll still say that most of the regular posters on this board have seen these two.

We need to specify if movies aren't popular with casual moviegoer or a M/TV board poster.

I said average moviegoer. Not movie/TV board people. I had never seen city of god or city of men until this board brought it up. So I'm just trying to get some movies the general public might not even think about watching
