Colbert has me wanting to watch late night TV every night for the first time since Conan left NBC
I agree. He's not stiff or lame like Letterman/Leno but he's also not acting like a teenage boy like Fallon. This show feels like something an adult would watch.

Watched last night. He's finding his groove.

He's also doing what he and Stewart were the only ones doing.
He interviewing authors and CEOs and not just mindless interviews with Hollywood douche bags.

I watched the first show last week. Life (and football games) have interceded since. I plan to tune in tonight.

Yeah, it really does come off as a longer version of the Colbert Report + more serious interviews. I love it.

I've now got it programmed in my DVR. First time I've done that with a late night show since Craig Ferguson retired. I really love Colbert's show.
He's a marvelous interviewer. I thought the way he challenged Justice Breyer about the cameras in the courtroom issue last night was really interesting to watch. He didn't make it uncomfortable by being too aggressive, but he made his counterpoint heard in a polite and lighthearted way.

Colbert is still one of the best interviewers of all time.

Seems like Colbert has dropped his fake persona and turned into Jon Stewart.

The first episode kinda missed for me (way too scripted) but the last few nights have been really good. His interviews and monologues have been on point. The judge interview was terrific, not sure if anyone else could have done it that well.

This.
Not that it's the most adult show on TV or that the rest of the late night shows are infantile, but this isn't aimed at your teens.
Carol Burnett is making the talk show rounds right now, but having Spacey do Jimmy Stewart from the Carson show is something aimed at an older audience.

That was good. I liked that.
