Kingsmen 2- Everyone as excited as I am?

This film blew me away with how fun it was as well as the style and action...and I saw the first trailer for the sequel and was excited. I didn't recognize the guy with the moustache and bullwhip before... and I just figured out it's Oberon Martell. Holy shite.

I understand why they did it, but killing off Colin Firth bummed me out. He was my favorite part of the first movie. That being said, I'll still watch this one.

My problem with this one is I just can't see how they get lightening to strike twice. All of the pieces came together wonderfully in the first one, and while it was based on an existing IP, it kinda took everyone by surprise.

Like all films, it will really depend on the writing and director and how good of a job they do. It would be a shame if it weren't as enjoyable as the first, even if it's enjoyable in a different way. I am feeling good by the representation of the Statesmen as the American Wing of the organization though. Matthew Vaughn is a better Edgar Wright to me, so I'm hoping to be pleased.

I have some reservations about the Statesmens. Kinda wish they would have stayed with just the Kingsmen

I wasn't so sure when they first announced it, but after seeing the trailer I am too.

Was very excited for the first one because Matthew Vaughn is one of my favorite filmmakers working. Saw it opening weekend. Loved it then. Love it now. I can watch that movie on repeat. I walked out of theaters and asked my wife if she wanted to go back and watch it again. She did not, but still.
I am borderline ready to have a stroke out of excitement over this movie. I can't wait to see how Vaughn follows up the first one, which is perhaps the most subversive piece of cinema in the last decade.

I'd be more excited if Lancelot played a bigger role...
She's listed on the cast but I haven't really seen much of anything regarding her role in the new movie.
