Didn't know it was on (don't have cable). Connected to the book?

Guess I'll have to use my illicit online sources to see it

I watched it. It was well done. Tom Hanks narrates it. The first hour leads up to the assassination and the second hour is about seeking the conspirators.

It's much of the same stories but with emphasis on Booth and who he was and why he hated Lincoln so much.

Did it talk about how Boothe's brother saved Lincoln's son not long before the assassination?

I wanted to watch this but forgot to set my DVR.

It didn't go beyond John Wilkes Booth.

It's set to air again Saturday night and Sunday.

Pretty good, definitely worth a watch. Some of the acting was a little meh, but a good watch.

Not sure. I DVR'd it myself to watch tonight. I did catch a part that was talking about how Booth attended Lincolns 2nd inauguration with a picture that shows him in the background. Creepy...

Haha. Yeah. Daniel Day-Lewis is definitely not in this one.

It was shown as more of a documentary than movie.

A few years ago, when it didn't suck, the History Channel did a documentary called April 1865. It dealt with the assassination and Booth's capture of course, but also with Confederate holdouts who refused to acknowledge Lee's surrender, a fascinating but curiously neglected subject.

Mayor-elect Darren Richmond from The Killing is no Daniel Day-Lewis.

I kept waiting for him to strap a rocket to his back and fight Nazis.

I would watch it if you really like History/Civil War /Lincoln, but, I was disappointed. I got SICK of the narrator,Tom Hanks, every 5 minutes. Should NOT have been visable, just audible. If you missed it,it's no big loss. It does repeat itself next weekend twice. If was more on Booth than Lincoln, which was a disappointment. Why he was full of hatred was boring. It was 150 years ago. The show on Lincoln's death on the History Channel about 2 years ago was really good, should be shown in schools instead of anti-Capitalism Union stuff. This actor was kinda quiet and weak, not a war winning President leader type.
