Does anyone else get addicted to these things?

This guy's soundtracks alone draw you into the films..

Civil War and National Parks I can watch over and over and over again.

I thought Prohibition was dull. Not really his fault, it's a documentary.

Really good series. Particularly the first few episodes.

Brooklyn Bridge is the best of his non-Civil War docs.

He's the unquestioned master of the documentary. For several topics he's chosen to tackle, his doc has become the definitive reference on that particular topic. I love every one of his docs that I've seen:

The Civil War
Baseball
Unforgivable Blackness
The West
The War
Jazz
Huey Long
Thomas Jefferson

I started Jazz just last night, in fact. And yes, I'd say addicting, since I've seen Baseball, Civil War, The War, National Parks, Huey Long, and probably a couple more of the shorter ones.

I have been watching "The War" on Netflix for awhile. It is the one about WWII. It is incredible!

The Civil War- Seen it. It's gripping.
Baseball- Haven't watched it yet, but I'm pretty pumped about it
Unforgivable Blackness- Haven't heard of this one
The West- Pretty damn cool
The War- Probably my favorite aside from Huey Long & Thomas Jefferson
Jazz- Ordered it recently
Huey Long - As a Louisianian, I'm glad he created this before that generation passed on. Louisiana is now working hard to distance itself from this image.
Thomas Jefferson- The commentary from the historians is second to none.

eta: Also on the topic of documentaries- Gary Sinise as the narrator in WWII in HD is fricking awesome.

"Lewis and Clark - The Journey of the Corp of Discovery", and "The West", are two of my favorites from Burns, yet you don't hear them mentioned much. The Lewis and Clark music is some of the best.

best sports/human piece I've ever seen. It's the story of the rise and fall of the Jack Johnson the boxer.

Unforgivable Blackness is easily his best work, and that's saying a lot.
