Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest

They have not hosted a show together in about a month. That didn't take long for them to start going at each other.

It's amazing to think that Kelly Rippa doesn't look near as good as she used to, but is still stunning. It blows my mind sometimes that people can be that beautiful.

They should replace Seacrest with you Kige. Live with Kige and Kelly has a nice ring to it.

I don't know how, but you motivated me to look it up.
Apparently Seacrest and the producers are wanting to move the show to Los Angeles because Seacrest has to film American Idol on Sunday nights. He'll then have to board a red eye flight to New York City to go live on the air early Monday morning.
Ripa doesn't want to go to Los Angeles because the show has always been in NYC, her home and social network is in NYC, and her son is about to start high school in NYC.
Why do I care? I don't. I don't care about this at all.

All they have to do is have a fill-in host on Mondays when they are filming American Idol. Must be other reasons.

I agree, Also with the kind of money Seacrest makes he should suck it up. There are a lot worse things than flying cross country once a week to make that kind of bank.

I think they are taking vacation because it is the summer and not a time when advertisers demand best effort. My wife watches this show all the time.

Exactly what I was thinking. Seacrest has got to be worth $300-400 million. Well more than enough to Rent a private jet 50 times a year.
Yeah its probably about a 5 HR flight on a private jet, but dude can sleep on the plane or get a hotel right by the studio. Live is a NY show and always will be.
Maybe they can call Regis in for Mondays... Hell you know if he didn't hate everyones guts on that show he'd do it.

They arent at odds. All the travel was agreed upon when he signed on.
Its summer and July/August is always guest hosts. They will resume normal schedule once school is back for good and the house wife's are in full circle.

The second chair on that show is a transitional chair. They do not want to settle for another Kelly. They want someone who is on their way up or who is a bigger name and able to dabble in daily talk.
No way that ABC wasn't already at least negotiating for Idol when they signed Seacrest to Live with Kelly. They'll be fine with him as a part time host if that has to be the case once they get into Idol.
The show has been built for fill-in hosts since the start with Regis and Kathy Lee.

Zero chance he flies commercial. Dude will catch a private flight and sleep comfortably in a bed the whole way.
