Keeping score: Who is winning right now? Varys or Littlefinger?

They are the game behind the game.
Varys is on a ship with a Targaryen that is leading a fleet with 3 dragons flying overhead. They haven't yet landed in Westerors.
Baelish has Sansa in place and is sowing seeds of doubt in her mind about the King in the North. He also effectively controls The Vale.
Who has the upper hand?

Varys by far. A lot of what Dany has accomplished so far can be traced back to him.

I don't even think Varys counts anymore, at least on the show. This is now Tyrion's game, not Varys. In the book that's an entirely different story, but the more appropriate thread title would be if Tyrion or LF is winning.
I think Tyrion narrowly has the upper hand due to the fleet, but if say Dany had died or Jon had been trampled on the Field, I'd say he would be the winner. Cersei blowing up the Sept was the best thing that could happen to LF, not to mention almost every major heir has been eliminated save for Sansa and SweetRobin. Cersei blowing up the Sept would have cemented his victory without Dany and Jon in the cards. Unfortunately for him the blowing of the Sept also benefits Tyrion, so it's a moot point.

Varys by far. He's got the largest army in the seven kingdoms led by a chick with dragons.
Littlefinger has a lady he wants that he's firmly in the friendzone with who's "brother" he wants to kill. That brother is more bulletproof than Schwarzenegger in Commando and has the support of all the houses in the north. Bet the Vale would side with Jon as well.

I think if it came down to it Jon would let Tyrion take the throne as long as the Starks remain in the North.

Obviously Varys. Beyond what has already been stated. LF has revealed himself to the board whereas Varys still operates mostly in shadows. Even Sansa knows LF should not be trusted...LF's easiest Ally. Whereas Varys has 3 of the 7 kingdoms already aiding his cause along with Westeros's greatest mind.

There isn't a force in Westeros, outside of the White Walkers, that can stand up to Dany and her dragons. LF's strength is being able to gain the ear/trust of whoever is in charge, whether it's the Lannisters and/or Sweetrobin.
But neither Varys or Tyrion are going to let LF get his claws into Dany. Hell, they may have his arse executed on sight. LF's only chance now is to stay aligned with Sansa, and try to undermine Jon. But that will be his eventual downfall. He might get into Sansa head at first, but she'll eventually turn on him, and she'll probably be the one that kills him. LF is screwed at this point.

Varys just recruited the Tyrells and Martells for Dany, he is now a part of the strongest army in Westeros. LF is starting to lose the power he had and even if he had the Vale he'd be crushed. The combined might of Tyrion, Varys, and Dany is just too much

There is no winner/loser because they have different goals. They are both winning because they have gotten what they want - Littlefinger has come from nothing and controls the Vale and is influential in the North. Varys is a major advisor to the next queen of westeros. They are both batting 1.000

Not sure about the books, but If I remember correctly from the show Vary just wants to serve the true keeper of the realm, where as LF "wants it all".

I think Varys looked at the larger game while LF was looking just at his. I think Varys is a Targ and was getting a family and legacy back. LF was only in for himself.
