There's still a point in film though where people won't put up with your shite anymore. Actors and directors will soon refuse to work with you, making it a bit tricky. Can't think of a person Heigl has been in a movie with twice on the top of my head, and it seems like she's just thrown around by directors who no longer want anything to do with her anymore.
Singers can get away with this much more than actors can. Acting is far more openly collaborative and one A-Lister isn't going to put up with another's bullshite for long. People who work with singers really don't have much of a choice but to stick around.

Too many people that have worked with her have said the same thing for it not to be a little bit true. I mean she was a star in a popular tv show for awhile and right after was in quite a few movies then fell off the map. That happened for a reason.

Either way, she has enough money that she doesn't have to work another day in her life. At this point, why would you even demean yourself to appearing in kitty litter and sleeping aid commercials? I always wonder how those sites get their figures. It isn't like they have access to her bank statements. They could estimate how much her contracts have been worth. Maybe subtract some basic expenses if they even bother to do that. Maybe she frittered that money away.

Probably because that site is basing their "net worth" figure on her EARNINGS when she actually doesn't have that money anymore. Other than the really disciplined people, most folks adjust their lifestyle up to match their incomes and don't really end up with more savings. First, there's taxes, which this stupid "celebrity net worth" site didn't deduct, and then she probably spent it all living large in LA. That, and I believe her mom is her agent, so she probably split it all with mother dearest. Thus, kitty litter. But I'd rather advertise for kitty litter than do my job, so kudos to her for not having to actually work for a living.
