Hollywood should take note. Apparently it's possible to make a movie with a badass female lead without making it look like a feminist propaganda film in which all male characters are evil or buffoons. Who knew?

Also it's projected to gross more than any DCEU film to date. So the sexist debate in film should be dead after this.

What? Hollywood has been making this type of film for as long as I can remember. Many of them are considered classics.

Not bad for an origin story. I thought the first two acts were okay at best, but the third act made up for it. 8/10

It's overperforming every week, but it won't take that crown.

The difference is that this female lead is deflecting bullets and missiles and throwing tanks.

The Ares fight would have had Man of Steel numbers of casualties were it in a major populated area.

I mean... Of course it's a good film, they basically just ripped off Captain America: The First Avenger and turned it into their film.

I reason people were upset with a movie like Ghostbusters because Hollywood made it without regards to what the audience wanted.

It's similar to someone buying you a Christmas present You when they know what you wanted.

Well considering the classic movies with strong female leads that don't come across as feminist propaganda that I had in mind were Debbie Does Dallas and Deep Throat, I guess that's a good point.

Some of my favorite action movies have female leads:

T2
Aliens
Long Kiss Goodnight

But as was pointed out, the grievance industry will never go away.

That is not true at all. Besides being set in a WW there are very few similarities between those stories.

if something that you hate is successful, when in doubt: call it a ripoff

I strongly doubt the guy has even seen the movie, and probably still thinks it's in WW2

it's whatever
