anyone seen this yet? Curious to know if it's OK to take a five year old to. I realize it's "PG" so it may be too much for him but he really wants to see it.

King Louie and Kaa are kinda terrifying in the movie.

Just depends how easily scared your kid is. I could see those two characters giving me nightmares if I was that age.

Movie was awesome btw, look for the nod to Christopher Walken's most famous SNL skit.

The wolf cubs in the movie are ADORABLE btw.

Also, meant to mention that Shere Khan is also kinda scary as well in how he is portrayed.

You could google the different characters and find image shots of them in the movie and then see if any of them look too scary for him.

Took my kids and my 6 year old daughter only closed her eyes during the Kaa scene. Other than that she loved it.

My Godmother brought me to my first movies at 5.

Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey and Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare. 5yr old is pretty old to be scared of movies, no? This is a question I'm not a parent.

Jungle Book was great and he will hold it in his heart forever. Have fun.

This movie underwhelmed me. But kids should love it.

Took my 5 year old and a friend's four year old.

Only thing I did was go to a 10:30 am to avoid bothering people. The 4 year old talked a bit

All human brains aren't exactly the same. Is every single person your age exactly like you? Have they ever been?

Why did my first post get so many downvotes?

I wasn't saying to not go, just saying that some of the characters could potentially be seen as scary by a 5 year old if the child was one that was easily scared. Don't understand the backlash. My nephew is 5 and my sister in law told me that Shere Khan and Kaa kinda scared him when they saw it.
