I liked Poetic Justice when it came out years ago

He actually speaks more in defense of QT....

It seems like everyone is missing the point he's trying to make or his opinion that he is expressing about the subject. Spike Lee had to beg for money to complete Malcolm X. He had to call Cosby, Oprah, Magic, MJ and many others to ask for money. The movie industry is essentially the same(regarding race, specifically directors and production ) as it was almost 100 years ago when Birth of a Nation was made.

Another point he was trying to make which Spike also has been expressing about Django...its a fictional western not a historical movie about slavery. It is meant to be entertaining but is it really so hard to believe that some people would find the subject matter offensive.
