re: John Singleton on Django Unchained/Quentin Tarantino

Singleton directed that horrible Twilight tard movie. Abandoned. Something like that. Taylor Lautner trying to
be an action star. Lutz. Bombed.

So... Play the race card. Try to get a gig again.

I liked Higher Learning when I was a teenager, which guarantees it was a piece of shite.

re: John Singleton on Django Unchained/Quentin Tarantino
It seems like everyone is missing the point he's trying to make or his opinion that he is expressing about the subject. Spike Lee had to beg for money to complete Malcolm X. He had to call Cosby, Oprah, Magic, MJ and many others to ask for money. The movie industry is essentially the same(regarding race, specifically directors and production ) as it was almost 100 years ago when Birth of a Nation was made.

Another point he was trying to make which Spike also has been expressing about Django...its a fictional western not a historical movie about slavery. It is meant to be entertaining but is it really so hard to believe that some people would find the subject matter offensive.
