Joffrey was already on Ramsay's level of evil. But once Joffrey would get to Ramsay's current age, he'd be much worse.

I'm not sure I agree. Joffrey was a lunatic who flipped out at any challenge to his authority, but Ramsay just tortures people to death for no reason.

Joffrey is absolutely more hated. He's a pompous bitch who doesn't deserve anything that's given to him. He's a sociopathic brat who deserves the worst. He's also a total idiot on top of everything else and has no subtlety or cunning whatsoever.
Now say what you will about the bastard being a cruel sadistic monster, but he has entirely earned his position. He's a resourceful, clever, cunning, and relentless opponent. There is something admirable about Ramsay's level of cruelty and ambition. Ramsay is also a threat in and of himself, while if you remove Joffrey's power, he's just a whinny bitch. He's the antithesis to Jon Snow, and I look forward to them finally meeting next season.

My wife got me the books for Christmas. I've been watching the show, but now I am about 200 pages into the first book. Just got through the part where Arya and her direwolf make Joffrey their bitch

I hated Joffrey. Ramsay is just as if not more evil and sadistic than Joffrey but I don't have near the same amount of dislike for him.

Joffery by a mile.. He's the only character I can remember myself having a smile from ear to ear as they painfully died. I really like Ramsay as a character even though he's so sadistic. At least he has combat skills and wouldn't hide from battle like Joffery's pussy arse.
