Supposedly (from Hollywood rumor mill), Jim is a very serious and depressed individual. That's not shocking. A lot of comedians mask their depression with humor (Robin Williams, Chris Farley, etc., etc.)
Severe depression can at times be contagious, especially to people who are prone to depression themselves and don't have comedic talent to vent their anxiety.

She must have been a commercial make up artist because her film credits are lean. If that's the case she made well over 100k, so definitely not just some waitress/actress. Not to mention the 1M house she lived in. Either way a sad situation. Jim Carrey is known to be a terrible person to work with and is not afraid to crush people around him.

Is it a joke because of Jim Carrey's other ex being so anti-vaccines? Took me some thinking to figure that out, considering it wasn't even her that was the one so against it. My apologies, but at least I figure it out I suppose. Nice joke?
