I'm sure his suspension had something to do with it, but this is a sad day for motorsport enthusiasts.

I searched, all i saw was a thread about the suspension

Damn. I got on board late but I really liked all that I saw.

I get that fans are pissed but
quote:
"Jeremy Clarkson called Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon 'a lazy Irish ****," and that "Clarkson ranted for half an hour then punched him in the mouth - he was bleeding and dizzy so he had to go to hospital."
frick BBC? frick Clarkson.

BBC needs to hire Chris Harris

maybe another network will pick him up, I dont see why not

There is no way Clarkson punched someone hard enough to make him dizzy to the point of needing to go to the hospital. The dude is as uncoordinated as he can be.

According to this. That article is not 100% correct. The remaining season may be cancelled, but he hasn't quit yet. However their contracts are up at the scheduled end of this season. Clarkson can command massive amounts of money from a regular network, I think Top Gear only nets him between 4-6 million pounds a year. He could make 12-14 million pounds easily from anyone not named the BBC. The other two would follow him because their value is dependent on him as well.

Sky, Virgin Media, or Channel 4 is probably looking at the cost to bring Clarkson and company on board as soon as they can. Potentially there is a ton of money to be made off the Top Gear team if they become free agents.

I will personally fly to the BBC headquarters and punch everybody in the throat!!!!

Clarkson hasn't quit yet. There is no letting the BBC off the hook. I don't think Clarkson would allow them to slink away with not having to do anything either by backing down or angering his fans by making the decision to fire/not resign him. Also quitting would give the BBC something to harp about if he joins another network.
His contract is up anyway after the 3/4 live shows that are scheduled for the end of March (which may or may not happen). The contracts for May and Hammond expire at the same time too.
His column is just Clarkson saying that he's not optimistic and that things change. It's essentially him preparing people for him leaving one way or another.
