This half season has me completely uninterested and I've lost all desire to watch the show. I'm roughly 3 episodes behind and Ive got no desire to watch.

I think the show in general has become extremely repetitive and dull. Characters that are stupid die and they overemphasize the stupidity. Rick and Co are turning into the people they used to hate.

Ugh. I know there are plenty that hate this show, but have any other lost interest?

i quit watching when the writers killed **** in the hospital at the half season finale last season. It was nothing more than a shock factor killing and showed how shallow the writing ultimately is. It's the same thing rinse repeat over and over in that regard.

People complain that characters never die, so the show is always predictable .

A show kills off people whenever they want and then someone complains it's done for a shock factor. Lulz

I lost interest as soon as I found out they planned on making episodes indefinitely. Realized it was gonna be the same old shtick infected chasing uninfected, almost getting a cure, rinse and repeat. So yea, I stopped watching after season 1.

To be honest I have thought that it's a pretty low quality show since the second season. I quit watching for a long time then I binged to catch up either before season 4 or 5 started airing. I watch it despite thinking that it's actually a pretty crappy show because I have invested the time into it and I'm going to see it to the end regardless, some coworkers watch it and I enjoy the Monday morning around the water cooler talk, and despite the bad acting and silly, cheesy, and increasingly predictable plot points I still think it can be entertaining in a pulp sort of way.

I will agree with you here.

I don't expect the show to be Breaking Bad or some other legit TV show.

It's fun to sit back and watch something zombie oriented on Sunday nights.

To me thats entertaining. Not really watching to have my mind blown away

There's absolutely no need for you to create a thread letting us know you won't be watching TWD anymore.

I've decided to shower some attention on you since that's what you want.

Adios.

i think he's more concerned for affirmation and not attention

people used to flip the frick out when people would question the show back in the day

it's like AA. sometimes you just have to find some group affirmation to make life changing decisions

Damn dude. It's more a cry for help. I've watched every episode of the show and up until recently never made excuses to skip it. I'm trying to figure out why and hoping its not that I've just changed my opinion on it. I'd hate to give up now, but it's been more laboriously as of late. The point of the thread was to see if there's anyone else having the same feeling.

I lost interest during the middle of the 4th season I think. I was entertained by the show for a while but just got repetitive I guess. Maybe I'll pick back up on Netflix at some point in the future. It wasn't a bad show but there is only so much you can do with a zombie apocalypse. I have been meaning to watch the spinoff for a fresh start.

ETA: I think that there seemed to be no "end game" is what turned me off. I wanted to see some type of resolution to the whole thing but it became apparent that it would never happen, and there are only so many times you can introduce a new bad guy and have the show stay fresh.

That was because for some reason people would continue to watch every week then bitch about how boring the show had become. I don't understand why they continued to watch and post about it if they had no interest in it. I even saw some of that with Game of Thrones last season

Yeah. I quit at the first of this season. It is always the same thing. Walk around fighting zombies while looking for shelter. Find shelter but it's never all it's cracked up to be. Is Rick too crazy to lead or is that what it takes in this world? Rinse and repeat.

The story needs an over arching goal. Sadly the most excited I got watching was when the weird guy said he was a scientist and needed to get to D.C. They need to be looking for a cure or the source of the outbreak. Mix a good plot in with the mindless zombie action. Instead they give the same boring stuff and focus on characters that no one gives a shite about.
