A couple things I didn't like:
I thought they could have used the Barrens more. It's such an important part of the book and mini series and in the movie it was just the woods. No dam or club house.
Mike Hanlon could have had more to do. For some reason they had Ben be the one who researches the history of Derry when in the book it's all Mike.

I need to see it again. I was comparing everything to what happened in the book and the mini series

Agreed.

But, I kind of get it. It's a ton of shite to cram into two movies. I was really hoping the Paul Bunyun scene would be included, but oh well.

Side bar, I've never seen a 2d movie that jumped off the screen like that. Not sure I could handle the projector scene in 3d.

fricking. Loved. IT.

You mean all of the 165 critics who gave it a positive review on rotten tomatoes were paid for? Damn, WB shelling out the $.

Just saw It. I read the book over the last 3 weeks to know the real story. I'm glad I did to notice some of the details picked up in the movie. I enjoyed the hell out of the movie. I thought most of the kids were great. The one liners were great. Richie was hilarious and they had great chemistry. My only real complaint is there was too much Pennywise early in the movie. There should have been more build up and Losers bonding. I think Bev was a little too tough. Oh and the Bowers storyline was kinda fricked too.

Richie Tozier stole the show. The New Kids on the Block stuff was also handled well.

There were red balloons all over the Ipic theater I saw this at tonight.

Also this guy was hiding behind things and jumping out to scare people as they walked in the theater...

Saw it tonight and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was creepy, the music was great, enjoyed the 80s background.

Amy Adams needs to play the adult Beverly Marsh. The girl looks just like her.

The movie was fine for what it is. There were a few changes that I didn't like that I understand they had to make and there were a few changes they made and a few stylistic choices that were unnecessary and puzzling.

For the horror? It was ok. But too much ducking CGI. Really really bad CGI. There were quite a few times that were CGI that should have been practical. Really really really took me out of the movie.

Also, the structure of the group here is completely changed and not to the movie's benefit. I can't articulate it right now but it felt off.

I liked it and thought it was well done for our era of remakes.

I wouldn't go out of my way to see it again, though.

Poor little fat kid had no chance, dude was trying to score way out of his league

The movie was pretty damn good, didn't expect so many funny parts. The kid from Stranger Things was funny as hell. Even with all the comedy the suspence and creepiness was all still there. Easily one of my favorite horror movies in recent memory

I agree with this. Some of it was good but there were some really bad uses of CGI. The scene where Pennywise pulled Georgie into the sewer is one example of where it looked bad.

More red balloons on the parking garage next to my girlfriend's apartment lmao.

She called me this morning when she took the dog out and was freaking out.

I love it.

Saw it today, thought it was great. The girl looked about 5 years older than everybody else and kinda reminded me of a young Amy Adams. The acting was good all around. This may be a top 5 King movie.

Just go to out and IT was absolutely superb. Scary, funny, touching, and wonderfully acted. A great story brought to life properly for the big screen. Even if you aren't a horror fan, you should still see this movie.

Having read the book twice, I have mixed feelings. Thought Pennywise was well done overall. There were a lot of deviations from the book, including sequence in some cases, but I guess I can understand considering limiting time of a movie.

Didn't like the ending. Only hint of the deadlights was the brief look down the throat of Pennywise that put Bev out. No turtle, no cosmic journey that really gives insight into what IT really is. Could have stressed the eternal nature of IT more, instead of just making it a scary clown.

SO glad they left out any hint of the gangbang scene. That would have completely ruined the movie.

Just some quick, fresh from the theater thoughts.

The "Chapter One" nonsense was a little heavy handed.

The bumpkins behind me had to have the usher explain to them what that meant.

What? The skarsgard kid was so awful. His look, his voice, everything. And for some reason the weird blurring effect when he'd wobble towards them

Kids were good, but pennywise was such a bomb

I mean an opinion isn't wrong but this one is laughably stupid

damn, didn't think the movie was this scary LINK

A 41-year-old woman died in a Monroe cinema auditorium Friday while watching a screening of Stephen Kings horror movie remake, IT. The incident occurred at the Cinemark Cinema in Monroe, a town in the Ouachita parish, Louisiana. The cinema-goer attended the new release screening with friends and had complained of chest pains and difficulty breathing during one the film’s climax scenes. According to witnesses, the woman let out a large scream and then collapsed in her seat. The woman’s friends called EMTs however by the time they arrived the woman was unresponsive and had passed away.
