Is there anything on network TV worse than The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore?

I swear, I come across a clip every now and again and each time I'm shocked how something so god awful can be on such a good time slot.

I've seen funnier stuff in a cancer ward.

There isn't a single redeeming quality of that sorry excuse for a Daily Show knockoff.

What am I missing? Is that the place where terrible comedy writers go to die? Does Anyone like that garbage?

If you had to choose between any CBS sitcom and Wilmore would you really choose Wilmore?

His show might be the worst show of all time.

He's the Brandon Browner of Television. His show sucks, he makes the people around him worse, he's ruining the late night team at COmedy central, and even when he has the chance to so something good he messes it up.

His writing is lazy, his guests are morons, when he does have a good guest on he attacks them and doesnt let them talk, his pannels are political shills, the whole show is dog shite.

How the frick comedy central followed up Stewart/ Colbert with Noah/Wilmore is beyond my comprehension.

I used to only watch CC but I must turn the channel anytime this show comes on. There hasn't been a show on CC in years that made me do that.

It's not really a Daily Show knockoff, it's a Real Time with Bill Maher rip-off. The twist is instead of getting smart guests to actually debate, he gets really only PC idiots, and when they occasionally get a smart guy to go on air with him, he gets idiots on to glorify ignorance and call the smart guy a nerd to his face for being interested in non-pop culture events. His show should have been cancelled after the Mars fiasco, where not only do two idiots make fun of Bill Nye for being interested in space at all, but Larry also joins in on the bashing. Good fricking luck having anyone of intelligence on your program after that debauchery.

Wilmore is terrible but is capable of being funny (not that he is on this show), but what really sinks Nightly is his horribly unfunny contributors.

There is a reason no respected celebrities or intellectuals will touch it, especially since they saw how they treated Bill Nye. There hasn't been a single episode that didn't revolve around race.

Remember when Colbert had the time slot and intellectuals had to come with their game face because Colbert was going to simultaneously speak to them on their level while maintaining his fake TV persona?

Now it's "[raspberry sound effect] you're stupid. You're like Miley Cyrus stupid. Har!"

Just watched this clip. Yea it was pretty fricking bad.

Nothing like "smart" comedians saying they don't care about water on Mars unless it came from Caitlyn Jenner's tears. Like what the frick is that?

Don't hold yourself out as "intellectual comedy" when anything above pop-culture one-liners is "uninteresting" or "too nerdy"

It makes morning radio shows seem like Shakespeare.

There was a worse one: "Can you make a sex tape on Mars?" Well, yeah, but you may as well be asking "could you make chocolate pudding on Mars?" It's the dumbest question I've ever heard. I wish some smart comedian like Ricky Gervais, Jerry Seinfeld, or Louis C.K. were on the panel that night just to rip these """comedians""" a new a-hole. Granted Bill ended with a hell of a zinger when the dumb bitch asked "what's 40%" and Bill replied "less than half". I'm really hoping Comedy Central never allows her on the channel again.

I just watched the clip, too. The two on the left were terrible, but I didn't get as mad at Wilmore as I expected. I felt like he tried to set up Nye to make the audience interested. I didn't really think Bill did a great job of relaying why it would be so cool if life was discovered on Mars. Clearly, it wouldn't have mattered to the 2 morons on the left, but I was waiting for more from Nye when watching.

Which is also why CC can't cancel it.

But Wilmore should have stopped them the second the idiot said "Caitlyn Jenner's tears" and called her an idiot to her face. His job is to be the moderator and stop insane stupidity on a panel or at least capitalize on their stupidity. Instead he joins their side when he initially seemed to be on Bill's side and just called Bill a nerd to his face.

It's one thing to say "I don't give a shite" like the guy did, but to let allow that stupid bitch to continue to talk, Wilmore should be canned for it. No one of intellect will ever want to go on his show again after that debauchery glorifying stupidity. Wilmore should pay the price, not allow his writer on the panel again, and Comedy Central should entirely blackball the dumb woman from ever performing on their network again.

No way in hell would Maher tolerate that kind of stupidity on his panel that glorifies ignorance and call his other guests nerds. He would have stopped them stone cold in their tracks and ridiculed them for such an opinion and lame joke. Wilmore clearly either has no control over his panel or very poor judgement on a direction to take his panels.
