She had a point and her job was probably better paying than a HS job at a crappy public school.

But her husband had just turned down his much higher paying dream job to stay in a place that he obviously loved and wanted to stay. Then he gets the very best High School Football coaching job you could possibly ask for. Seems kind of selfish for her to ask him to turn down his dream job twice.

He had already had that job and I'm sure in the back of his mind he was thinking frick Dillon High more than it being his dream job.

I see her point also.
But the man is a high school football coach also. She knew the life she was getting into when she married him. He is living in the high school football capital of the world right now and has the opportunity to coach the best football team in state.

Coach taylor should have told dillon to stuff it, they had already screwed him over and fired him and he came back and handed their asses to them why should he go back and coach them again.

I don't think she was. Her point was that SHE was the one who always took a backseat to his ambitions; it was her turn.
But that whole thing was just unrealistic, because no prestigious university is going to hire a high school guidance counselor to be its fricking dean of admissions. That was absolutely fricking stupid.
