FX had this on the other day. I DVR'd it and have been watching it a lot lately.
I'm trying to decide if there's a movie character that I hate worse than Dr Mann. frick that guy. That smug MFer. Glad he imploded in the vacuum of space.
Why did Cooper leave the space station in a stolen ship to go find Dr Brand? Wasn't the space station going there anyway?
Great movie. Easily one of the best Sci-Fi movies I've ever seen.

Wasn't a fan of it. The middle of the movie is good but the beginning and ending were mediocre.

One of my favorites in the last decade easily

I love it, gets better and better every time I watch it.

The movie just isn't that good.
And it tries too hard...and confuses confusion with intellectual gravitas...
So we get more - what is this Fight Club in Space?
Her name was Murph! Her name was Murph! Her name was Murph!

Also..... the music to this movie is fricking perfect. The damn hair on my arms stands up every time the organ plays when Cooper is trying to dock with the Endurance after Dr Mann blows it up.

No wasn't the space station around Saturn? Probably doesn't move very fast even if it was heading out to where Brand was.

This is exactly the emotion that Nolan wanted to elicit The entire sequence of events starting with Mann showing his arse and leading up to the docking scene and climax of the film was perfect. Nobody expected it at all.

There was nothing left for him on Cooper Station. He is a pilot and explorer. He didn't want to live in his old house in space. Besides I don't think we can assume that Cooper Station was going directly into the wormhole. One could assume that humanity was still in the process of leaving earth as indicated that Murph had to be transported from another station to get to Cooper. She told him to go ahead to Brand since she was all alone.

Seeing this in the theater with the incredible amounts of bass made me have a movie experience unlike anything I've ever felt before... phenomenal movie and scene

Its not a bad movie but is overrated in general.

I thought the first half was good.

No time for caution is pretty impressive

Sidebar: Did this ever make its way to the movie chans?
I had to vuze the mfer to rewatch.
To the OP, I'm mixed. They swung for the fences with the art direction, which was mind blowing at times. But Mmkay's heavy breathing-overacting, Damon's glameo, Anne Shorthairthaway's unlikeability, stoner robot, 5th dimensional morse code etc. kind of made it yay..eh for me, anyway.
No doubt that Zimmer knocked it 60ft over the fence, though.

The feels when Coop is watching his family grow up through the video chats as he realizes he's sacrificing everything for the mission

There's a way to correct this: cast Bryan Cranston in the role. Him or Terry O'Quinn. I could believe those lines from Walter White's mouth and that he convinced them to go on a suicide mission. Just radical miscasting.

Eventually, sure, but he wasn't having a good time there. Plus that could have taken decades to get the colony there. Would only take him a year or less in a single craft.

One of the best film scores ever done. Absolutely loved it and is probably my favorite Nolan film.

Bar none, best movie going experience of my life. IMAX screen. Not in 3D. Sound was AMAZING. never experienced anything like it. Saw it opening night.

Falls of the fricking rails at the black hole scene. From then on it's dogshit. Loved it up until that point.
