The end is just starting and I forgot how good this movie was.

And it is refreshing to see how Hollywood let this character kind of go out on a high note - no more sequels or reboots. Temple of Doom is not necessarily my cup of tea, but Raiders and Last Crusade - great movies.

There was an opportunity for Brendan Frasier to do this genre with his Mummy character. Unfortunately for him, they kept doing mummies instead of giving him new adventures. Miss opportunity for him

The first Mummy is still very good, IMO. He definitely had potential.

Temple of Doom was the best. No one agrees and that's fine. Beating hearts, human eating crocs, lava, shorty, roller coasters, monkey brains, etc

it's crazy how much worse Temple was than LC and Raiders

Great movie.
I have them all on dvd.
My favorite is Raiders, then Last Crusade, then Temple of Doom.
Sean Connery is great in that movie. "I find that if I just sit down, the solution presents itself."

man those movies really took a nose dive.
1 was a fun monster movie update.
2 was a bit much w/Rachel Weisz suddenly being the reincarnation of the murdered pharaoh's daughter. (so she is the pharaoh's kid even though the mummy in part one thinks she looks so much like his dead lover he tried to use her body for reincarnation? wtf?) Also, the little kid they added as the son was super annoying.
3 was such a pile of shite it actually made me mad enough that I called a friend to vent about how awful it was while I watched it on HBO. fricking CG battle Yeti?
