This is AWESOME news, and I'm assuming he has a really good idea for it if it's as simple as that. Super pumped for this now.

No it has not. Power Rangers sucked.
I enjoyed the hell out of Pacific Rim. Its as close as we've ever gotten to seeing Voltron onscreen live action. It was giant robots fighting monsters. There was even a freaking sword. You don't think Del Toro was a Voltron fan? Then why did he save Gypsy's sword til the end? Voltron couldve just pulled out the Blazing Sword as soon as he startd fighting the Robeast, but he always waited for dramatic effect.
Just don't let Michael Bay anywhere near it, and you're good to go.

Mask and Voltron would both be good.
I've been wanting a live-action Jonny Quest for a long time. I know it's been in the works for a while, but it looks like it's finally going to happen and Robert Rodriguez is attached to it.
