I think it has to be because it's network television. It just looks so cheesy and the acting is awful and the special effects are ridiculous.

Lately, my TV watching has been binge watching shows like True Detective, The Jinx, Friday Night Lights (rewatch), House of Cards, Bloodline...those shows are all high quality productions in my opinion.

The content of the show is almost kinda interesting, but I don't think I can get over the cheesiness.

I don't know if it's the show itself that makes me not want to watch it, but I might just be spoiled by higher quality programming. It's like drinking Miller 64 after having a sixer of Founder's.

Mid season 1 is when it hits its stride. One episode is truly some of the best netowrk tv in a while.

However, the show is over the top, terribly acted by most.

Only reason to watch is if you like Spader.

I thought it started off well. The tension with Tom's secret being hidden from Elizabeth building through the Berlin story line and resolution was well done and fairly tight. I think it has lost its footing and direction since then though.
